Voice Note
Say it: Root turns it into editable text
Speak a thought, a task, or an idea. Root transcribes it into a note you can edit, search, and use like any other text.
Root for iPhone
Voice notes that become editable text. Smart Scan for useful QR codes and text in photos. Links from your browser. All of it lands in one private workspace. Free, with no account required.
Four ways to capture
Root meets you where the thought is, not where it's convenient to type.
Voice Note
Speak a thought, a task, or an idea. Root transcribes it into a note you can edit, search, and use like any other text.
Meetings
Capture a meeting, interview, or call as a dedicated transcript instead of a buried audio file you'll never revisit.
Smart Scan
Point your camera to scan useful QR links or pull text from photos. Root saves what matters straight into your workspace.

Private by default
Root works locally without a Root account. Your library lives in app storage or a Files location you choose. Sharing, file providers, and Apple speech services have their own boundaries; see Privacy. When you want the same workspace across iPhone and other devices, optional Root Connect syncs through your own Google Drive (one US$9.99 unlock, no subscription).
Also on Chrome
The Chrome extension gives you the same workspace beside the web: a private side panel with Research Draft and source capture. Optional paid Root Connect syncs through your Google Drive. Use Sync now and check the result on each device before continuing. Each app also works on its own.
