Curious about AI? Let's talk.
I talk with small-business owners who are curious about AI but aren't sure where to start. You might have tried ChatGPT, heard people talking about Copilot, or just be wondering if any of this would actually help your business.
A few sentences about your business and what you are wondering about is enough.
Nobody is fully caught up on AI, it changes too fast for that, so there is no need to wait until you feel ready.
You don't need a plan
Just tell me what you are wondering about.
Send me an email and tell me a little about your business. If it seems like I might be able to help, I'll reply with a short questionnaire. That gives me time to understand your situation and look into anything unfamiliar before we speak.
We could talk about things like:
- whether AI could be useful for a task you do regularly;
- which tools might be worth looking at;
- what information should stay out of an AI system; or
- one small thing you could try without changing how the whole business works.
I built Root, and I use AI in my own work.
AI moves fast. What was true two months ago may already be outdated, and nobody has it all figured out, myself included. The trick isn't to learn everything first, it's to start with one small thing and learn as you go. I have spent a lot of time testing these tools and finding where they fall short. I'll be clear about what I know, what I need to look into, and when someone else would be a better person to ask.
Please don't send passwords, customer records, financial details, health information, private files, or anything else sensitive. A simple description is enough to begin.
That's it
Start with an email.
Tell me what your business does and what you are wondering about. I'll read it myself and get back to you either way.
